Thursday Night Football: Cardinals Vs Seahawks

Week 10 begins on Thursday night (8:25 PM ET, NBC/NFLN/Amazon) with a battle of NFC West rivals as the Arizona Cardinals welcome the Seattle Seahawks to University of Phoenix Stadium. The Seahawks and Cardinals will meet for the 37th time, with the Cardinals holding a 18-17-1 series advantage. Arizona wide receiver J.J. NELSON had 132 receiving yards, including an 80-yard touchdown catch, and kicker CHANDLER CATANZARO converted the game-winning 43-yard field goal with no time remaining in the Cardinals’ 34-31 victory in their last meeting (December 24, 2016).

Seattle looks to rebound following a 17-14 loss to Washington in Week 9. Seahawks quarterback RUSSELL WILSON passed for 297 yards with two touchdowns and added 77 yards rushing last week and linebacker BOBBY WAGNER had 12 tackles and recorded a safety. Defensive end DWIGHT FREENEY, who signed with Seattle prior to Week 8, has three sacks in his first two games with the Seahawks.

The Cardinals enter Week 10 following a 20-10 victory at San Francisco. Arizona wide receiver LARRY FITZGERALD, who led the team with 70 receiving yards in Week 9, has 14,953 career receiving yards and surpassed Pro Football Hall of FamerTIM BROWN (14,934) for the sixth-most receiving yards in NFL history. Cardinals linebacker CHANDLER JONES had a sack last week and ranks fourth in the NFL with nine sacks in 2017. Arizona linebacker KARLOS DANSBY, who had a sack and an interception in Week 9, is one of five players with at least 40 career sacks (43) and 20 interceptions (20) since the individual sack became an official statistic in 1982.

Week 10 marks the first of five Thursday Night Football games airing on NBC using the “Tri-Cast” distribution model of broadcast (NBC), cable (NFL Network) and digital (Amazon Prime). NBC will also broadcast the Christmas Day game.
