Three Minor League Players Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced  that three Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Free agent Minor League third baseman Eudor Garcia and free agent Minor League designated hitter Xavier Turner have each received a 100-game suspension without pay following a third positive test for a drug of abuse. Each of their suspensions will be effective upon their signing with another Major League organization.

Colorado Rockies Minor League left-handed pitcher Austin Wright has been suspended without pay for the remainder of the 2017 season after testing positive for Clomiphene, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the program. The suspension of Wright, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Boise Hawks of the Northwest League, is effective immediately.
