Thomas-Irving Trade Official. Here is What Both Teams Got

After almost a week of the trade being announced between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers it was made official late Wednesday night, just hours before the Thursday deadline. The hold-up? Cavs wanted more from the Celtics after Isaiah Thomas’ physical (missed the rest of the playoffs because of his hip injury).”There’s never been an indication that I wouldn’t be back, and there’s never been an indication that this is something messing up my career,” Thomas told ESPN on Tuesday. “Maybe I am not going to be back as soon this season as everyone wants me to be, but I’m going to be back, and I’m going to be the same player again. No doctor has told me anything different than that.”

After nickel and dimming the team here is what both teams got:

Cavaliers:

Isaiah Thomas

Jae Crowder Ante Zizicand

Unprotected 2018 first-round draft pick via the Brooklyn Nets.

2020 pick from Miami

Celtics:
