Canada Basketball’s Men’s High Performance program is pleased to announce the U16 team that will represent Canada at the FIBA U16 Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina beginning June 14th.
“We’re pleased with the competiveness of this tryout and we’re excited to continue working with these young men as we prepare for the FIBA Americas,” said Craig Beaucamp, Head Coach.
The team will train in Toronto until June 9th and then head to Argentina for pre-tournament training, prior to tipping-off against the host country in game one of the preliminary round. The full FIBA U16 Americas schedule can be found here.
Canada will look to qualify for its 5th-consecutive U17 World Championship. Canada is currently ranked 3rd worldwide in the FIBA Youth Men Rankings.
