Although the All-Star made it clear that he wanted to go to the Lakers, on Friday night it was announced that he was leaving Indian to join the 2017 MVP Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma.
ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reported just before 7pm EST that George had been dealt to the Pacers for Victor Oldaipo and Domantas Sabonis. George is Indiana’s leading scorer and a four-time All-Star.
As per ESPN stats, the Thunder’s odds to win the NBA title went from 80/1 to 40/1 after the Paul George trade.
We will update the story as the trade details are made public.
