Ovechkin Passes Jagr For Most Regular-Season OT Goals In NHL History

It was another record breaking night for Washington Capitals Alex Ovechikin. On Friday against the Detroit Redwings Alex Ovechkin scored his League-leading 10th goal of the season at 1:56 of overtime to power the Capitals to victory. With 20 career regular-season overtime goals, Ovechkin passed Jaromir Jagr (19) for the most in NHL history.

Ovechkin’s marker was also the 96th game-winning goal of his NHL career; he moved into a tie with Mats Sundin for 11th place in NHL history.
