New Music Friday: Pretty Archie

The award nominated (Music Nova Scotia, East Coast Music Awards) quartet Pretty Archie is touring across Canada to celebrate their latest piece of work Sing Alongs and Love Songs. Listeners can expect a voyage to a place of honesty and candid experiences that they can relate to. Pretty Archie will play at Dakota Tavern on September 28 at 7 p.m.

The latest single Where Were You explores the feeling of waking up second best with lyrics such as ‘You had to choose and somebody had to lose, I’m waking up with the second best blues.’

Brian Cathcart (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Matt McNeil (Lead Guitar, Mandolin), Colin Gillis (Harmonica, Bass, Vocals) and Redmond MacDougall (Banjo, Percussion, Vocals) grew up together and evolved to writing together from a place of sincerity that creates an interesting blend of bluegrass, country and folk.

Pretty Archie focuses on making sure every fan leaves the show feeling happy and fulfilled. The high energy show is sure to have every foot stomping by the end of the evening!

‘We want every person that attends our show to feel uplifted and inspired when they leave our show, we have a great time while we are up there and we want everyone else to as well,’ explains Colin Gillis.
