Luongo, Holtby Joins Elite Company

Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo made 24 saves to earn his 455th career win and pass Curtis Joseph (454) for sole possession of fourth place on the NHL’s all-time list among goaltenders. Luongo, who is Florida’s all-time leader in wins (196) and appearances (501), trails only Martin Brodeur (1,266) and Patrick Roy (1,029) on the League’s all-time list for games played by a goaltender.

Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby made 27 saves to improve to 200-76-31 in 319 career appearances (2.32 GAA, .922 SV%, 32 SO). Elias notes that Holtby, who trails only Olie Kolzig (301) in career victories by a Capitals goaltender, required the second-fewest appearances in NHL history to earn his 200th career regular-season win.
