Los Angeles Rams At San Francisco 49ers Preview

Week 3 in the NFL begins on Thursday night (as the San Francisco 49ers host the Los Angeles Rams at Levi’s Stadium in a battle of NFC West rivals.

The 49ers and Rams meet for the 135th time in series history, with San Francisco holding a 67-64-3 advantage. Rookie head coaches Sean McVay of Los Angeles and Kyle Shanahan of San Francisco meet for the first time in the division rivalry. The Rams look to rebound from a 27-20 loss to Washington in Week 2.

Los Angeles running back Todd Gurley had 136 scrimmage yards with two touchdowns last week and joins Kansas City rookie running back Kareem Hunt as the only players in the NFL with at least 100 rushing yards (128) and 100 receiving yards (104) this season. The 49ers, who seek their first win of the season, held Seattle to 12 points in their Week 2 loss. Running back Carlos Hyderushed for 124 yards last week and has six touchdowns (five rushing, one receiving) in his past six games against the NFC West.
