The Los Angeles Lakers are now Summer League Champions. After opening Summer League play at 0-2 the team won six straight.
Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball was named Most Valuable Player of NBA Summer League 2017. Lonzo didn’t play during the final game because of a a calf injury but that didn’t seem to hinder the team. Step-up Forward Kyle Kuzma. The rookie dominated the championship game scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the team over Portland Trail Blazers 110-98. Rightfully so, he was named MVP.
