Ezekiel Elliott Suspension Block Overturned by Judge

Ezekiel Elliott his court battle  on Thursday, as Louisiana’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that the jurisdiction of his lawsuit and injunction against the NFL’s six-game suspension for violating the league’s domestic violence policy are both invalid.

The NFL Players Association will most likely refile its lawsuit to have Elliott’s six-game suspension dissolved. They issued this statement:

 

NFLPA STATEMENT ON ELLIOTT DECISION

The NFLPA is reviewing the decision and considering all options. The appellate court decision focuses on the jurisdictional issues. The failures of due process by the NFL articulated in the District Court’s decision were not addressed.
