
Canada Basketball’s Women’s High Performance Program is pleased to announce the final roster for the Senior Women’s National Team set to compete at the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2017 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“In this first year of the Tokyo quadrennial we have assessed a number of athletes and are pleased to confirm the twelve that will make up the best team for the 2017 FIBA Women’s Americup,” said Denise Dignard, Director, Women’s High Performance. “We look forward to travelling to Argentina to compete for a spot in the 2018 FIBA World Cup.”
Lisa Thomaidis takes the helm in her fifth year as Head Coach and is joined by assistant coaches Shawnee Harle and Steve Baur.
Canada’s Senior Women’s National team is currently ranked 2nd in the Americas and 6th in the world by FIBA.
