“We are extremely excited to be playing in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic in Los Angeles. For our players to get the opportunity to play in the STAPLES Center against a Big 12 Conference team is unbelievable. We feel TCU is a Top 25-caliber team and will be a great test for us this season.” – Eric Musselman, Nevada head coach

The one-day triple-header will feature University of Oklahoma vs. the University of Southern California, St. John’s University vs. Arizona State University and Texas Christian University vs. University of Nevada.

“The STAPLES Center is undoubtedly an iconic venue in the basketball community and we’re so pleased our event will now provide six teams and their tremendous fans the opportunity to enjoy the unique environment,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “We appreciate the hospitality of AEG and STAPLES Center and look forward to another terrific college showcase in southern California.”

“The Basketball Hall of Fame Classic has become a premier event in our sport and we are thrilled to be a part of it. It’s a great opportunity for us to play in an outstanding NBA arena in STAPLES Center and in California, home to many TCU alums and current students. It is also an opportunity for us to play a very good basketball team like Nevada, which finished with an RPI of 35 last season.” – Jamie Dixon, TCU head coach.
